Alfredo Espinosa, a student at the University of Florida, was inspired to run for Gainesville city commissioner of District 4 after living in the heart of the community and seeing a need for change. Between the fiscal irresponsibility of the elected officials and the city commission’s inability to identify with the students of Gainesville, Alfredo has become determined to be the change he wishes to see in this community.

Since his decision to run for city commissioner, Alfredo has had numerous interviews and has gained recognition for his ability to understand the city’s needs. As one of his competing counterparts exclaimed, he is diligent in “doing his homework” and researching the best alternatives for the constituency .
